Catherine Turley, M.Ed is an ACE-Certified personal trainer with a secret: she grew up dreaming of ways to get out of gym class.

Her grandfather, a physician, never gave in to her requests to write a doctor's note that would get her out of P.E., but she's grateful now for his integrity. Her years of toiling in the gym have made her a passionate ally of those who want to get in shape but feel uncomfortable in the gym environment. Ultimately, it led to the creation of her company, Fit Armadillo®, whose mission is to help busy individuals find fitness they can enjoy at their own place and pace.

Armed with her B.S. Degree in Biology from The College of William and Mary, Catherine enjoys debunking fitness and nutrition myths to help her clients achieve lasting results and uncover the many benefits of an active lifestyle. Catherine has been quoted for her expertise in WebMD magazine, on SparkPeople.com, LiveStrong.com, EmpowHER, Fitbie, and WorldLifestyle, and writes as a blogger for the Huffington Post.

    I usually skim through a book like this, looking for the snippets of information that I need, but this book drew me in and forced me to read each page as if my life depended on it. Each of the interviews with a successful professional woman is invaluable. Not only does Ms Basu do a brilliant job of compiling the interviewees' thoughts and routines, but she does it in a way that makes for compelling reading. Well-written and edited, I found the dares proposed by each of the women hard to resist. There are takeaways for women of all persuasions, and I'm sure readers will find at least one woman who speaks directly to their hearts, as I did. An excellent book, from an excellent writer.

    I really enjoyed reading this inspirational book. Everyone warns you about "the real world" when it comes to working a full time job but nobody tells you the secret to staying sane.....THE HEALTHY WAY = FITNESS. I really loved reading about all of the down to earth interviewees. Even though these women are most likely making six figure salaries, it is very inspiring that NONE OF THEM MENTIONED HAVING PERSONAL TRAINERS. I really loved the multiple mentions of BARRE. Google about it if you don't know what it is. I encourage all women to search online for barre classes near them (they are not only in major cities). I have become a "barre addict", so much so that when I plan to do house hunting in a few years, I vow to only live in a town where I can take barre classes. Running will always be my #1 true love, but fitting in running/barre/yoga really helps me juggle the stresses of being an oncology registered nurse and getting my masters degree.

    This book gives you the opportunity to find a fitness role model and dares you to change one small, manageable part of your life to become a superwoman yourself.

    The women interviewed in this book are not only relatable, but very successful and inspiring.

    While most of the time fitness books/posts make it seem like you have to have 5 extra hours or no life outside the gym, this book is all about fitting fitness into your life in very achievable ways. After you read about these women's lives and how they fit it in, you won't be able to come up with an excuse.

    Bottom line, if you are thinking about buying this book, JUST DO IT! You won't be sorry.

    This book will inspire you to aspire and reach your goals. Catherine has put together an incredible collection of stories, anecdotes, and accessible tips for both men and women in all stages of their life. Living a healthy lifestyle does not need to be complicated and it all starts with movement. If you're stuck and don't know where or how to begin, this book will provide you with the answers. Highly recommend!

    Raising 3 kids, helping a husband have a successful career, staying in shape, AND eating right...It's all so complicated! As the wife of a military member not only do I often do it alone, but when he is home I am dedicated to helping him succeed and rank up in his career. I spend countless hours volunteering in multiple base organizations, planning events, fundraising. Helping with young Airmen just starting out in the world. It's a lot. I get so busy that the "me" time is always last on the priority chain. This book has already given me countless ideas on ways to make ME fit into my schedule. I am so thankful Catherine wrote this book in such a way that we can all understand and get a multitude of information from. Pure necessary knowledge given to us all! Fantastic.

    A wonderful compilation of real women taking care if themselves. Whether you are running a company, juggling business ventures, living with a lifelong disability, there is no excuse to not exercise. In fact, these women show you how fitness may be the glue to success.

    I bought this book as I was struggling to find the time to fit exercise into my day. I was procrastinating due to recovering from injuries and I knew I needed that boost of inspiration to snap me out of my current state of inactivity.
    I started listening to the podcast, The Fit Fifteen, which Catherine hosts, and that got me started in taking 15 minutes out each day to do some gentle exercise.
    I then discovered her book, and I am glad I did. The book was the next step I needed.
    It is filled with the accounts of very busy women, and how they still manage to fit exercise into their schedule. They give their own personal accounts and relationship with exercise, and what they do to make sure they keep on top of their fitness. Each women then ends her chapter by challenging you to do something fitness related. It's like dangling a carrot - a dare is a dare, so it really motivates you to get involved!
    I really found this book full of the motivation I needed and I am very happy to recommend it to others.
