Women's Fitness Retreat: Superwomen Summer Camp

Prepare your body and business for a productive fall by spending four nights in sunny Redondo Beach, California at the Fit Armadillo Superwomen Summer Camp this August 2018!

The Superwomen Summer Camp fitness retreat will be hosted by Fit Armadillo founder and ACE-Certified Fitness Professional, Catherine Basu, who created it to help you put the tips from her book, Superwomen Secrets Revealed into action. 

Translation?

You'll spend your four nights of the wellness retreat in California working on your fitness and business goals while meeting and getting inspired by your fellow summer campers, other female entrepreneurs. If you haven't experienced the power of adding movement to your busy day as a business woman or the power that comes from women empowering women, you do not want to miss this event!

You'll return home from your four days feeling more energized, focused, creative and inspired.

The Location

The retreat will be hosted in a beautiful home in Redondo Beach, California that's half a mile from the beach and a 30 minute ride from Los Angeles international airport.

Home sweet home and home office away from home!

Enjoy walks along the Redondo Beach esplanade in the morning or on your own time, biking to the Hermosa Beach's farmer's market if fresh fruits and veggies make your heart sing (less than 3 miles away), and walking to the Redondo Beach farmer's market before you head home on Thursday (open from 8 AM -1 PM and just half a mile away). 

Your retreat leader will lead you through fitness sessions at the home at least once a day either in the beautiful, big living room (with ocean views) or in the backyard, weather permitting.

The retreat will be hosted just a 30 minute drive south of LAX Airport.

Retreat Schedule and Activities

Thanks to the small size (just SIX overnight participants), the retreat workshops and fitness sessions will be customized based on the needs of the group (so be sure to take that part of the application seriously!). However, you can expect to start the day with movement followed by a small group session to help you focus your personal work time.  Throughout the day, additional small group and personal time will be included. This retreat is designed to help you get serious about your business before you head into fall by adding more strategy and focus, but it's not designed to burn you out. You should expect to leave feeling inspired and rejuvenated thanks to a healthy balance of work, workouts, and play.

Example Daily Schedule:

7:00-8:00 AM Walk/Run 
9:00 AM-10:30 AM Breakfast and group meeting and goal setting
10:30 AM-12:00 PM Personal work time
12:00-1:30 PM Lunch/Walk break
1:30-5:30 PM Free Time/Optional additional group or personal activities
5:30-6:30 PM Afternoon workout (Mat Pilates, basic strength training, circuit routine, etc.)
6:30-8:00 PM Dinner
8:00-9:00 PM Free time/group activity/workshop

Retreat Start and End Times

We'll spend four nights (Sunday, August 26-Wednesday, August 29th) together, but please plan to arrive at the retreat location by 7 PM on Sunday night. Check out at our venue is a strict 10 AM on Thursday, August 30th.  Your retreat hostess will still lead a morning walk on the last morning and share some ideas of where to spend your day if you have a later flight. 

Arriving earlier on Sunday or staying in Los Angeles on Saturday night? Catherine plans to get a group together for a fun run/walk that's part of a community race series in Santa Monica before hitting up her favorite farmer's market.  Reach out to let her know you'd be interested in joining this informal part of the retreat :)

About Your Retreat Hostess
Catherine Basu

The leader of the Superwomen Summer Camp fitness retreat is Catherine Basu. Catherine has worked in the fitness industry as an ACE-Certified fitness professional for over a decade and has owned her own fitness company, Fit Armadillo for 5 years. 

She's always been passionate about helping people enjoy the many benefits of fitness, but after becoming an entrepreneur she's been obsessed with helping her fellow solopreneurs use fitness as a secret super power to help them achieve their own business goals and dreams.

This obsession is what led to the publication of her book, Superwomen Secrets Revealed and desire to want to bring the lessons from it to life in the form of a retreat. 

She's excited to help you take a break from working at your business solo and getting stuck in your regular routine so you can experience the power of moving more during your busy days.
