Feeding Babies and Toddlers Your How to Guide
Feeding Babies & Toddlers: Your How to Guide
Need help figuring out when, how, and what to feed your baby or toddler? I've finally found a book about feeding babies and toddlers that's the perfect how to guide: The Pediatrician's Guide to Feeding Babies and Toddlers by Anthony Porto and Dina DiMaggio.
Why New Parents Will Love This Guide
Like my favorite book for moms-to-be, The Pediatrician's Guide to Feeding Babies and Toddlers, is written by medical experts who are also parents.
That's right - not only are Porto and DiMaggio trained pediatricians, they've also experienced bringing up babies and toddlers for themselves.
This means that as you read you'll enjoy recipes for feeding toddlers and babies, as well as the authors' "real life parenting tips" that accompany each section. If you're like any of the new parents I've worked with, you'll definitely find these parenting tips relatable and worthy of a laugh or two!
What's Included in The Pediatrician's Guide to Feeding Babies & Toddlers
As the subtitle of the book promises, this guide includes practical answers to your questions on nutrition, starting solids, allergies, picky eating, and more.
The guide is organized into six chapters that make finding the information you need right now easy.
The first four chapters cover feeding babies with sections and tips for feeding kids at 0-3 months, 4-6 months, 7-8 months, and 9-12 months.
The fifth chapter covers the toddler years and, like the others, includes basic nutritional guidelines, healthy recipe ideas, and answers to common questions for parents of toddlers. Not to be missed is the recipe for Strawberry-Banana Ice Cream, which the authors serve for dessert and sometimes at breakfast topped with berries as a fun surprise for their kids!
Finally, the last chapter includes common medical conditions and additional resources that will help parents of toddlers navigate allergies and visits to specialists.
All-in-all, The Pediatrician's Guide to Feeding Babies and Toddlers is a great guide perfect for any new parent. I'm so glad Blogging for Books gifted me a free copy to review, because I'd been looking for something to recommend to clients once they graduated from my fave What to Eat When You're Pregnant!
