12 Days of Fitness – Day Nine

Today’s the 2nd Day of 2015 and the ninth day of the 12 Days of Fitness Challenge.  If you’re new to the challenge, you can read more about it HERE.  The goal of the challenge is to keep you moving during this busy time of year.  Even if you haven’t been participating until now, I’d love to have you join and get a solid 4 days in a row to start your 2015 🙂

My Day Nine Workout

The 2nd day of 2015 is a busy day for personal trainers.  I just learned it’s also Personal Trainer Appreciation Day…and Buffet Day and Cream Puff Day.  Hopefully, none of my clients enjoyed both a buffet and cream puffs!

Before my schedule of fitness sessions for the day, I showed myself some appreciation by going for a 4 mile run. Even though it was still a gloomy, rainy day here in Houston, TX, I enjoyed hitting the streets to pound the pavement.  By getting my fitness in early, I was able to beat a really bad thunderstorm that had my trusty sidekick/businessbunny, Nathan running for cover!

I used my Garmin and Fit Smart during my run. Fit Smart still won’t load my workouts and Garmin had some trouble locating satellites on this run so the stats weren’t 100% correct. I think my Garmin’s bad day might have had something to do with the fact that I had recently deleted all the old history on it from last year to make it run faster (pun not intended!):

I wonder how many miles I’ll run with my Garmin in 2015!

Well, that’s my day nine summary for you. Tomorrow, I plan to get another strength session in along with a little cardio. I can’t believe it’s almost day 10!

Do you have a favorite fitness watch? Do you store your data on your watch as long as possible or do you clear it off after each workout? I’d love to know and I’d love to hear about your Day Nine/Day Two workout:
