Best Beef Kabobs Ever for What’s for Dinner? Wednesday
This week for What’s for Dinner? Wednesday I’m sharing a recipe for the BEST beef kabobs ever!
Now before I share it, I just want to disclose that the rating system I use for the “best” of any type of meal gives a lot of points for speed and healthiness in addition to overall taste.
I didn’t eat a million other beef kabobs to decide that these are the best beef kabobs ever, however, they take basically no time to make, are under 300 calories a serving, and full of flavor. So in my world, they must be the best!
I found this recipe on Better Homes and Gardens, but made a few modifications to make it even easier and healthier 🙂 and, well, the best!
Ready to try out the BEST beef kabobs ever for yourself? Here are the ingredients you’ll need to serve the meal to four:
1lb flank steak
2 tbsp soy sauce
1 tbsp Chinese 5-spice powder
6 oz plain Greek yogurt
1.5 tbsp fresh mint leaves
2 limes
Here’s how to put it together:
Step One: Heat your broiler and then thinly slice steak across the grain. You should get around 12 slices out of your steak.
Step Two: Put your sliced steak, soy sauce, and spices in a bowl and toss them to coat your beef. Then put your beef on skewers.
Step Three: Set up a baking sheet with a grill rack to let the extra fat drip and for more even cooking. Then place your beef skewers on top and put them in the oven to broil for about 5 mins
Step Four: Make your dipping sauce. Get a small bowl and mix your yogurt, mint (chopped), 1 tbsp of lime juice and 1 tsp of lime peel. Cut the other lime to serve as wedges with your meal.
Serve your beef kabobs with your dipping sauce and see if you agree that these are the world’s best beef kabobs!
