Live near Newport Beach, CA? You don't want to miss the Newport-Mesa Spirit Run event this weekend! Race organizer Diane Daruty stops by to share more about the several races that will occur this weekend on Saint Patrick's Day. Each year the Spirit Run has added more fun features and it now includes over 10 races. There is literally a race for everyone even your four-legged friends! This might be the first year the Spirit Run has fallen on Saint Patrick's Day, but they've even included some costume parties and have turned finisher's medals into lucky charms. Not feeling like racing? You can complete a walking event or stop by one of the expos. The Spirit Run hosts a dog expo and a youth and fitness expo. Spirit Run is presented by Newport-Mesa Spirit Run, Inc. (NMSRI), a California nonprofit 501(c)(3) public benefit corporation. Spirit Run's net proceeds benefit youth education and fitness.
