Alyssa Houtby is my newest marathon running shero. Last year, she ran her 1st marathon, the Mountains 2 Beach marathon in Ojai, California, in 3:09, more than 20 mins faster than a BQ. A few months later, she ran her 2nd 26.2 mile race in Sacramento, the California International Marathon in 2:58! This full-time career woman is also a toddler mom. But wait - this gets even MORE inspirational. She only started running after her 3 year old daughter was born and now has a goal to OTQ (Olympic Trial Qualify)!
