Best Turkey Burger Recipe
Did you know that June is National Turkey Lovers’ Month?
I know I didn’t!
But now you have a fun fact to use at cocktail parties and maybe win Jeopardy or Who Wants to Be a Millionaire (if they ask those types of questions on either of those shows…) 🙂
And if you didn’t get to enjoy any turkey this month (or did, but didn’t celebrate the occasion properly), you’re in luck! Not only do I have a turkey recipe for you, but it’s also celebration worthy, because it’s for the BEST turkey burger ever.

Here are the ingredients you’ll need to make 8 burgers:
1 lb 99% lean turkey
1 lb 85% lean turkey
2 tbsp HEB brand all purpose rub
2 tbsp pepper
2 serrano peppers, chopped
4 cloves garlic, chopped
1/2 medium onion, chopped finely
2 scallions, chopped
8 leaves basil, chopped
cooking spray
How to put it all together:
Step One: Preheat your oven to 350 degrees. While the oven is warming up, chop up your peppers, garlic, onion, scallions, and basil. Then, mix all of your ingredients (well, all except the cooking spray!) together.
Step Two: Spray a cookie sheet with your last lonely ingredient, your cooking spray. Then form your mix of turkey meat into 8 burgers and place them on the sheet.
Step Three: Cook your burgers for 30 mins.
You’re done! Or the turkey is done in the oven. Your dinner is complete (I hope my English teacher fans are happy!).
I showcased my turkey burger on top of a salad, but you can most certainly enjoy it on a burger bun and with some corn on the cob on the side.
